Care Coordination is a Central Role in Nursing.
Competencies such as care management and coordination, patient education, public health intervention, and transitional care are skills needed by nursing as health care moves towards a preventative care model. When academic and clinical sites work together, the quad aim of improving population health, increasing patient satisfaction, reducing per-capita health care spending and improving provider satisfaction can be achieved. A research agenda will identify opportunities and challenges for advancing nurse-led care coordination models and recommend priorities for demonstrating the impact and value of care coordination.

Dr. Lamb is a well-known author and speaker on care coordination. She is the editor of Care Coordination: The Game Changer – How Nursing is Revolutionizing Quality Care published by the American Nurses Association. Dr. Lamb is the founding Director for the Center for Advancing Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research at Arizona State University’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation
This is a free continuing education event through the Washington Regional Nursing Research Consortium for those who register for the conference and complete the evaluation. A scientific poster session will follow highlighting the nursing research and evidence based practice projects. Please join us for this keynote presentation and poster session with nursing colleagues, faculty, students from practice and academic settings.
